Default Guild Wars vs. The Dark Tower

Has anyone here ever read The Dark Tower series by Stephen King? Last night while listening to the audio book, Roland mentioned a word from the "high speak". The word was Charr and it means death. This got me thinking about other similarities between the book and the game. They're probably just coincidence, but it's fun anyway.

*spoiler warning*

DT:
Roland starts alone and draws 1, 2 then 3 people (Party size of 1, 2, 3 then 4)
GW:
You start with a max party of two which grows to 4, 6 then 8.

DT:
Eddie describes the Dark Tower as the color of ash. Of course, the Dark Tower is the ultimate goal.
GW:
The final mission takes place on a volcano (A tower of ash).

DT:
Roland lets the boy, Jake, die (or so it appears) only to find him later.
GW:
Gwen, anyone? (Of course I haven't verified that you find her again, but have heard claims)

There was one other that I thought of last night but can't remember now. Anyone else notice any similarities?

When I edit the title it only changes it in the thread view, not in the list... WTF? I hate vBulletin.
